Our team has been working and continues to work on reviews of Ukrainian LMSs available on the market. We have collected a sufficient number of platforms, so we have created a rating of them to help users who are looking for resources to host their courses or create a corporate knowledge base to navigate the edTech market.
This is not the final ranking. The table will be periodically updated and supplemented as new reviews and players in the online learning market appear. The most popular LMSs are collected in this rating, which will serve as a guide when choosing the most profitable platform for work.
How we compiled our LMS ranking
This is a ranking of the most famous Ukrainian LMSs that have made a name for themselves in the market in one way or another. It is based on data from LMS websites, research by the TOPLMS team, and user feedback. The order of display in the ranking depends on the level of convenience, functionality, and other key indicators that form the basis of the ranking. The higher the ranking, the better the LMS.
The list of indicators on the basis of which the rating was built includes: functionality, usability, security, user support, cost, user reviews, etc. Each indicator was evaluated on a ten-point system, where 0 is the absence or lack of data, and 10 points is the highest score.
The rating is based on the total score of each indicator – the higher the score, the higher the LMS is in the ranking. The evaluation process took into account all available user feedback. The principles of operation and design of each LMS were also investigated using the mystery shopper method. The available free trial periods were used to evaluate and test the functionality and usability of each platform. Platforms that do not have free trials in their pricing were evaluated based on feedback and information posted on their websites.
Criteria used to select the best LMS systems
When compiling the rating of learning management systems (LMS), we took into account several key indicators:
- Functionality. The number and availability of features declared on the platform. How convenient it is to manage courses, conduct assessments, create content, generate reports, and work with analytical data. This also includes the availability of a mobile version of the website, support for various devices, and tools for interactive learning – videos, forums, quizzes, etc.
- Ease of use. How user-friendly the user interface is, how easy it is to use the platform settings, and whether it meets the needs of students and teachers for comfortable work. This also includes flexibility and scalability, i.e. how well the platform can be adapted to different types of learning and the number of users. An important part of the indicator is integration. This means the platform’s ability to integrate with other systems and support for various standards (SCORM, xAPI).
- Security. Whether user data is protected and meets security and privacy standards.
- User support. Whether the platform has technical support, documentation for work, and a working helpdesk.
- Cost. Pricing and accessibility, as well as value for money.
- User reviews. What is said in reviews, ratings of other users, whether there are real examples of implementation and use of the platform.
We assigned points for each criterion, and the final score determined the overall place in the LMS rating.

So what LMS is the best one?
So, the best LMS system is Softbook. It turns out that having a mobile app or a narrow specialization does not guarantee any LMS system the top spot and customer love. Everything is much more complicated and simple at the same time. An intuitive interface and data security are what customers expect from modern LMSs without fail. This is followed by such indicators as flexibility, integration services, tools for organizing and monitoring training, CRM, marketing tools, etc. Platforms should pay attention to customer experience first and foremost, and only then complicate their functionality to achieve a particular goal.
The rating of the best LMSs created by our team will help you find the most suitable platform for hosting courses or creating a corporate knowledge base. But it can only serve as a guide. The decision on which platform to connect your online school with will depend on you.
